CoNSTRUCTION UPDATES

This project has been delayed by the City of Vista until fall of 2023.

Regarding specific impacts, this is what we expect as of right now:

• The project will be completed in 3 primary phases:

  • Phase 1 will be from the back gate on the archery road up to the bridge that crosses the creek near the Craft House/Prayer Chapel.

  • Phase 2 will be through the playground, Creekside Field, and Chuckwagon areas.

  • Phase 3 will be from the main bridge out the front gate.

• Phases 1 and 2 will be open trench digging which means these areas will be closed.

• Phase 3 will be underground in order to keep the main access road open.

• Construction zones will be active Monday-Friday and closed for the duration of each phase unless otherwise noted.

• The project is slated to begin Labor Day, 2023 and end Memorial Day, 2025 not including the summer camp season.

All info is very likely to change as the project gets finalized.

Green Oak Ranch Ministries has been notified by the City of Vista and the Buena Sanitation District that they are in the process of improving, expanding and relocating a sewer line which partially runs through the property.

Such work is estimated to take place between Labor Day, 2022 and Memorial Day, 2024, not including the summer camp season.

While the City and Sanitation District have agreed to attempt to not interfere with the use of the property, impacts are inevitable. Such impacts could result in parts of the property being unavailable to campers during their visits.
